Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine has a unique style that combines R&B with gospel, soul music, and R&B. The singer's career has taken her all over the world, from Broadway to European concerts and festivals and even to the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine Her real name was Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by playing the piano and singing in church. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music within Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals,"Stalk You A House 12, was only released in Japan. It's been remixed many times, and has become a staple in her live performance. The singer has also provided her vocals to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She took on the role of primary keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls the stage show at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became famous in the performances that took place over four days during the The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing during Barack Obama's Inauguration in 2009.
